Piece Value (2)

At some stage in every game of chess we will want to capture some pieces. Sometimes, capturing a piece belonging to our opponent will involve losing a piece of our own. We need to know the value of the pieces so that we can work out when it is worth exchanging and when it isn't.

This table shows you how valuable each piece is.
